Random...

Playing catch up... that's just life these days.

December 2018

Isla has four teeth, and she uses them to the maximum.  Her little mouth opens in anticipation of any and all food.  So far (in addition to baby food), she does ok with soft bread and a little rice.  Anything else she just holds them in her mouth.

Isla loves to clap little hands, and "talks" to everyone especially Olivia.  She loves it when we sing to her, and dislikes it when we take toys to of her hand.  Sweet little Isla had her FOURTH cold this year.  May it be the last one (this year at least)...

zoom in on the teeth!!

Isla's first Christmas, first in our new house.  It was everything and all a blur at the same time, as is life.  I had this Christmas off and enjoyed it to a maximum.  Olivia got the PonyCycle, which in typical Olivia style, is more of a hit for us than for her.  Six months in, she is warming up to it... although ever so cautiously.  I love that about her.

Still quite attached to her thumb.  Isla is getting ready to wear off of BF.  I had a really hard time making peace with that milestone.  Somewhere around here, I had my second bout of mastitis.  I will always miss nursing Isla.  Her little sounds of joy and contentment.  I'm so grateful I had a second chance at it.
